About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Cupertino, Wei's Fish stands out as a culinary gem specializing in authentic Sichuan-style fish dishes that captivate the senses and leave a lasting impression. This inviting Chinese restaurant artfully blends the bold, vibrant flavors of Sichuan cuisine with a focus on fresh fish, creating an experience that both spice lovers and seafood aficionados will cherish.

The signature offerings at Wei's Fish center around their famously rich and aromatic fish soups. The Green Sichuan Pepper Sauerkraut Fish Soup is a sensory delight—its numbing, floral peppercorn heat perfectly balanced with the tangy, fermented crunch of sauerkraut, delivering a complex bite that dances on your tongue. Another standout is the Classic Spicy Fish Soup, available in generous portions featuring tender snakehead fish, simmered to perfection in a vibrant, fiery broth that is both comforting and exhilarating.

Spice enthusiasts frequently rave about the Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish Soup, a dish that layers depth and spice with rustic finesse, lovingly prepared with snakehead fish and complemented by free servings of fluffy rice and crunchy soybean sprouts at the bottom—a thoughtful touch that enhances every spoonful. For those who prefer a milder zest, the Fruit Infusion Lemon Flavor Fish Soup offers a refreshing, slightly sour alternative with delicate citrus notes.

Beyond fish soups, the menu unfolds a collection of tempting snacks that perfectly accompany your meal or serve as delightful starters. Crispy, golden bites such as the Classic Crispy-Coated Chicken Tender and the subtly sweet Brown Sugar Cake offer varied textures and flavors that add a playful contrast to the meal's spiciness. The Crispy Milk Curd is an indulgent treat, delivering a light crunch with a melt-in-your-mouth dairy richness that's hard to resist.

Wei’s Fish isn’t just about exceptional food—it’s the entire dining atmosphere that captivates. Guests consistently note the clean, grease-free environment, making every visit comfortable and refreshing. Attentive, warm, and friendly staff enhance the experience, ensuring each diner feels welcomed and cared for. The generosity of unlimited free rice and thoughtful accompaniments emphasizes their commitment to value, turning a meal here into not just dinner, but a genuine experience.

I always get the Green Sichuan Pepper Saurkraut Fish Soup (aka Signature Suancai & Fish) and it’s SO good. I’ve ordered for takeout and also had it delivered via DoorDash and the quality and flavor is great every time. I usually add the sweet potato glass noodles and wood ear mushrooms. Will definitely continue ordering from here!

I really like this hot pot–style fish soup! They offer two fish options: basa or snakehead. The snakehead is $2 extra per portion, but it tastes better. I ordered the fruit-infusion lemon flavor fish soup — non-spicy, slightly sour from the lemon, and really delicious!

My parents and i recently visited this Wei’s fish and was blown away by the overall experience. First of all, they offer unlimited free rice—such a great deal! The place is very clean and grease-free. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. Location-wise, it’s convenient and easy to get to. Most importantly, the value for money is incredible. The food is tasty and well-prepared—definitely great quality for the price. At this price point, what more could you ask for? Highly recommended!

The signature hot-oil Suancai fish is absolutely a must-try—rich, flavorful, and packed with just the right amount of heat. It’s one of those dishes you immediately want to recommend to everyone. Beyond the food, the service really stood out. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It’s rare these days to find a place where the team seems truly happy to help, and it added a refreshing touch to the meal. Overall, great food, great people, and a spot I’d gladly visit again.

We came in on a Tuesday night at 7:30pm, and there was no wait. Parking was easy, too. Their QR code/mobile ordering system is straightforward. My cousin got their signature suancai & snakehead (small) and I got the green Sichuan pepper soup. Most dishes come with 1 rice included and a choice of 2 sides (except their signature dish). Both dishes were super flavorful! We agreed neither of us had tasted anything like it before. The Sichuan peppercorn was super numbing - I think I'd prefer a less peppery dish next time, but it was still delicious. I had enough for leftovers, and we shared the brown sugar rice cakes, which were so good. For 2 people for two small mains and a dessert, the total was 57.06$ including tip. Service was fast and friendly! Definitely looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu.

Really enjoyed dining at Fish With You in Cupertino! Their 热炝酸菜鱼 is absolutely amazing — hands down the most authentic flavor I’ve had since being in China. The broth is rich and tangy, with that perfect balance of sour and spicy, and the fish is super tender and fresh. It tastes just like the real thing back home. The restaurant is also conveniently located near where I live, Saratoga, so it’s definitely become one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend to anyone who loves authentic Sichuan-style fish dishes!
